This school year, North welcomed its newest addition to the Student Life team, Ashley Jackson, Administrative Assistant to Student Life.
Before coming to North, Jackson worked at St. Xavier College in Chicago and grew up in the South suburbs of Chicago. She came to North after working at St. Xavier for 19 years.
“I came to North because it’s really close to where I live, and I thought that it would be a great opportunity for me to work close to home,” said Jackson.
Jackson’s day-to-day role consists of many responsibilities that keep North running and help students in all aspects of their lives both in and out of school.
“My role looks like me answering questions all day, every day. So usually I start with my emails. I try to check every single email. I try to respond to every person who emails me. I answer calls as soon as I can, or I return voicemails as soon as I can, and then I also assist other people with anything that they need help or assistance with, while also making sure we’re managing students, staff and families,” said Jackson
Jackson’s goal for this year is to continue to improve our school atmosphere.
“I just want to make sure that I can make this a better place all around to the best of my ability,” said Jackson.
Outside of the Student Life office, Jackson is also one of the girls flag football coaches.
“I also coach girls flag football. So I really like doing that. I think my girls really like being a part of that sport.”
Jackson is extremely excited for her time at North as both an administrative assistant and flag football coach, and looks forward to making a difference for all students.
”It’s really rewarding just to see students smile and have fun,” said Jackson.
